Summary: The role involves joining a London-based client's Security Operations team as an Azure SME to enhance and optimize Business-As-Usual (BAU) Azure processes. The successful candidate will integrate insights from Microsoft Defender into security operations and develop new processes based on actionable intelligence from Azure services. This position requires onsite presence at the client's London office one day a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review current BAU Azure processes for effectiveness and alignment with security best practices.
- Ensure data and alerts from Microsoft Defender are properly utilised within Security Operations workflows.
- Collaborate with security teams to embed Defender-sourced intelligence into day-to-day operational processes.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing procedures and recommend enhancements.
- Design and implement new processes where necessary, based on information and trends from Azure.
- Maintain documentation of updated or newly created security processes.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in Azure security posture.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and other security tools.
- Strong understanding of security operations and incident response.
- Experience in process review, optimisation, and documentation.
- Familiarity with BAU practices in cloud security environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
