Summary: The Azure Security Engineer role is a 3-month contract focused on enhancing Microsoft's security posture across cloud and endpoint environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Remediate vulnerabilities identified by Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, and External Attack Surface Management (EASM).
- Improve Microsoft Secure Score through hands-on configuration hardening across Azure, identity, endpoints, and workloads.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Purview controls including DLP, sensitivity labels, insider risk, and records management.
- Support detection and response activities, including Sentinel tuning, alert triage, and threat investigation.
- Work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to deliver real remediation and measurable risk reduction.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, and EASM.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, insider risk).
- Proven experience remediating vulnerabilities across Azure and endpoint environments.
