Azure Network Engineer

Summary: The Azure Network Engineer role involves supporting the delivery of secure, cloud-based services within a major UK public sector programme. This hands-on position focuses on Azure networking, hybrid connectivity, and secure infrastructure design in a highly regulated environment. The role requires strong technical expertise in Azure networking and related technologies. The contract is for 6 months with a likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of secure, cloud-based services at national scale.
• Focus on Azure networking, hybrid connectivity, and secure infrastructure design.
• Implement and manage Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, and routing.
• Ensure secure connectivity through VPN Gateway and ExpressRoute.
• Utilize Azure Firewall, Application Gateway (WAF), and Load Balancers.
• Work within a highly regulated environment, particularly in secure or public sector contexts.

Key Skills:

• Strong Azure networking skills (VNets, NSGs, routing, peering).
• Experience with hybrid connectivity (VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute).
• Knowledge of Azure Firewall, Application Gateway (WAF), and Load Balancers.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing).
• Experience in secure or public sector environments.
• Desirable skills include Terraform, Bicep, ARM, and exposure to GDS standards.

Salary (Rate): £73.00/hr
