Job Description:
Requirement/Must Have:
- 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
- Strong T-SQL, query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure DevOps).
- In-depth knowledge of Azure networking, AAD, monitoring, and cost management related to databases.
- Expertise in high availability and disaster recovery solutions (geo-replication, failover groups, AlwaysOn AGs).
- Familiarity with DevOps and automation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PowerShell).
Experience:
- Extensive experience in SQL Server DBA roles with recent Azure SQL experience.
- Operational experience with performance tuning, monitoring, backup, and DR.
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and participate in strategic planning.
