Summary: The Azure Infrastructure SME role requires a seasoned professional with over 5 years of experience in managing Azure IaaS and PaaS environments within enterprise-scale infrastructures. The position focuses on implementing and supporting Azure Landing Zones aligned with the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), enhancing security posture, and performing workload migrations. The candidate will also be responsible for managing Azure security components and ensuring compliance through operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Azure IaaS and PaaS environments in enterprise-scale infrastructures.
  • Implement and support CAF-aligned Azure Landing Zones.
  • Enhance security posture through Microsoft Defender for Cloud remediation and recommendations.
  • Oversee operational tasks across compute, networking, storage, backup & restore within Azure.
  • Perform Azure subscription-to-subscription workload migrations.
  • Support SQL Server (on IaaS) and Azure SQL PaaS environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server OS issues for application servers.
  • Manage Azure security components including Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and WAF.
  • Conduct log monitoring and analysis using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts.
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) users, groups, access, and role assignments.
  • Utilize automation solutions such as PowerShell, Logic Apps, or Azure Automation.
  • Support AAD Domain Services, Group Policies, private DNS zones, and service accounts.
  • Perform monthly patching and compliance maintenance in cloud environments.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
