Summary: The Azure Engineer role at BAE Systems involves building and optimizing secure, scalable cloud platforms primarily using Azure technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage Azure infrastructure (compute, network, storage)
- Deliver Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
- Support landing zones and cloud governance (RBAC, Policy)
- Work with AKS, App Services & serverless
- Troubleshoot and provide 3rd line support
- Improve cost, performance, and monitoring (Azure Monitor, CI/CD)
Key Skills:
- Strong Azure experience (core services + networking/security)
- IaC and automation expertise
- Knowledge of AKS, Entra ID, and DevOps pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Must be eligible for UK security clearance
