Summary: The Azure / Databricks DevOps Engineer will join a leading Digital Asset Banking client in Zurich, focusing on implementing their data strategy with an emphasis on infrastructure for Databricks. The role requires strong English language skills and is intended for candidates based in Switzerland, as onsite work and travel are necessary. The position is initially a 3-month contract with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support Databricks-based data workflows.
- Develop and maintain Terraform templates for consistent and secure Azure infrastructure provisioning.
- Manage and automate Databricks workspaces, cluster configurations, and libraries.
- Implement and monitor DevOps practices that comply with digital banking regulations, including encryption, access controls, and audit logging.
- Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other observability tools for proactive performance monitoring and incident response.
- Monitor and optimize usage of Azure resources and Databricks workloads to manage cloud spend.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in DevOps Engineering and SRE.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Strong background in Azure Infrastructure.
- Terraform and Landing zone expertise would be very beneficial.
