Azure Data Platform Engineer - Azure, Synapse, SQL MI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Terraform

TrinIT Talent are looking for an Azure Data Platform Engineer to join a leading organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role is Outside IR35, paying £400 per day, with immediate starts available.

You'll be required onsite in London 2 days per week for the first 2 months, after which the role can be carried out fully remotely.

You will play a key role in designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-scale Azure data platforms, working across modern cloud database technologies, automation and DevOps. This is a hands-on technical position suited to someone who enjoys owning solutions from design through to delivery within large-scale transformation programmes.

You will be responsible for designing robust, scalable and secure Azure data platform solutions, delivering database migration and optimisation projects, implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and working closely with infrastructure, DevOps, application and analytics teams to deliver high-quality cloud-based data services.

• Proven experience designing and supporting Azure data platform solutions
• Strong Azure Synapse Analytics (Azure SQL Data Warehouse) experience
• SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI) expertise
• PostgreSQL administration and optimisation
• MongoDB experience
• Strong SSIS and SSRS knowledge
• Terraform Infrastructure as Code
• Azure cloud platform expertise
• Cloud-native database architecture experience
• Database migration and optimisation
• DevOps and CI/CD experience
• Performance tuning, security and high availability
• Experience working within enterprise-scale production environments
