Summary: The Azure Data Engineer role involves leveraging Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and SQL to manage and integrate core data systems within a consultancy focused on a significant utilities project. This opportunity is part of a multi-year project with substantial growth potential following a recent £50 million investment. Candidates have the option for either a contract or permanent position based on their preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Azure services to manage data pipelines, storage, and processing.
• Ensure data is structured and processed correctly within the MDM platform.
• Implement data quality measurement processes and generate analytics.
• Handle data from multiple sources and manage its ingestion and transformation.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and maintain exception reporting for data quality monitoring.
• Work efficiently within a busy team, demonstrating proactive problem-solving.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on MS Azure, Databricks, and SQL.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, and Prophecy.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipeline development and data transformation.
• Proficiency in data quality assurance and analytics.
• Ability to work independently and drive improvements in data processes.
• Understanding of property data assets integration is a plus.
