Summary: The Azure Cloud Security Engineer role is a hybrid position based in London, focused on supporting a critical cloud security and infrastructure project. The engineer will enhance cloud security, streamline infrastructure processes, and contribute to a large-scale cloud migration initiative. This position requires SC clearance and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Security & Compliance: Implement and scale secure AWS-Azure connections while enhancing cloud security measures.
• Release & Version Control: Review and refine release management and version maintenance processes for AWS Workspaces.
• Infrastructure Monitoring & Alerting: Streamline and optimize alerts, alarms, and resolution processes for enhanced system reliability.
• Application Migration & Refactoring: Migrate and refactor Python web applications hosted in Data-for-Insights.
• Security Enhancement: Deploy and integrate Zscaler within the Digital Analytics Platform (DAP) to strengthen the security posture.
• Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop a disaster recovery run book for AWS and Azure services to ensure operational resilience.
• Windows Server Migration: Lead the migration of all workspaces to Windows Server 2022 using the DSV connection protocol.

Key Skills:

• Azure & AWS Security Expertise - Hands-on experience in securing hybrid cloud environments.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Networking - Strong knowledge of cloud networking, VPCs, and secure connectivity between AWS & Azure.
• Python Application Migration - Experience refactoring and migrating Python web applications within cloud environments.
• Monitoring & Alerting Optimization - Experience streamlining infrastructure alerts and resolution processes.
• Security Tools & Zscaler - Familiarity with Zscaler, firewall security, and network access controls.
