Summary: The Azure Cloud Engineer role focuses on developing and maintaining ETL workflows using SSIS and Azure Data Factory, migrating legacy systems to the cloud, and optimizing data processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows using SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Migrate legacy SSIS packages, stored procedures, and SQL jobs to Azure cloud environments.
  • Optimize extract queries for historical and incremental data loads with minimal latency.
  • Collaborate with business SMEs, cloud architects, and project managers to align migration goals with performance, security, and cost-efficiency standards.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation mechanisms across ETL pipelines.
  • Support Power BI dashboard development and SSRS/SSAS report migration.
  • Participate in DevOps pipeline setup and integration with Azure services (Blob Storage, Key Vault, etc.).
  • Document technical processes and provide knowledge transfer to stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SSIS development and SQL Server database management.
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory and cloud-based ETL solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and data modeling.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance, Blob Storage, and Key Vault.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
