Summary: The Azure 3rd Line Engineer role involves providing technical support to clients in Whitechapel through various communication channels, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and resolution. Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, logging, taking ownership, resolving and monitoring faults/requests throughout their life cycle, applying First Time Fixes to minimise User downtime.
- Ensuring the highest levels of troubleshooting is applied to every customer contact made through the use of agreed processes.
- Fully understanding and complying with client contractual SLAs, providing the highest level of service by meeting or exceeding those SLAs/KPIs and by proactively identifying process improvement opportunities within the department.
- Ensuring all tickets are handled in accordance with quality standards set out.
Key Skills:
- Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD): Deep understanding of user and group management, role-based access control (RBAC), conditional access policies, and identity governance.
- Azure Subscription Management: Proficiency in managing Azure subscriptions, including cost management, resource group organization, and policy enforcement.
- Azure Resource Management (ARM) Templates: Ability to deploy and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles with ARM templates or Bicep.
- PowerShell and Azure CLI: Strong Scripting skills for automating administrative tasks, managing resources, and querying Azure services.
- Network Fundamentals (Azure Networking): Understanding of virtual networks (VNets), subnets, network security groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, and VPN gateways.
- Security Best Practices in Azure: Knowledge of implementing and maintaining security best practices within the Azure environment, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and security monitoring.
- Monitoring and Alerting (Azure Monitor): Experience configuring and utilizing Azure Monitor for logging, metrics, and setting up alerts for critical events.
- Backup and Recovery (Azure Backup/Azure Site Recovery): Familiarity with implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions for Azure resources.
