Robert Half is recruiting on behalf of a global consulting firm for a hands-on Solution Architect to deliver critical design work for a platform transformation in the financial services sector. The role focuses on designing cloud-native, secure web applications and API frameworks across distributed data environments.
Key Details:
- Start: ASAP (2-week onboarding window)
- Location: Hybrid – City of London (1–2 days onsite)
- Duration: 6-month contract, likely extension
- Rate: £600.00 per day via PAYE (PLUS 12.07% holiday pay – PAYE with employer’s NI & tax deducted at source. No umbrella company admin fees.)
Requirements:
- Deep experience designing scalable enterprise web applications across financial services
- Strong AWS cloud experience across application and integration layers
- Familiarity with design of APIs, data lakes, BPM processes, and microservices
- Track record of working with engineering and risk functions to deliver secure solutions
- Comfortable designing for high-resilience, regulated environments in financial platforms
Preferred:
- Background in financial data platforms, index providers, or investment/asset management
- Experience in BPM tooling and leading application modernisation efforts
- Working knowledge of real-time data services or trading platforms
