Summary: The role of AWS Senior Admin involves managing and troubleshooting AWS cloud-based systems, requiring extensive experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure. The position is contract-based for 3 to 4 months with a possibility of extension and requires a hybrid working arrangement. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of cloud technologies and AWS services, along with experience in system administration and security services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement AWS cloud-based solution architectures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot AWS cloud-based systems for availability, performance, reliability, and security.
  • Administer AWS services including AWS Connect, AWS Lambda, AWS Databases, AWS S3, and more.
  • Utilize tools like AWS Cloudwatch, AWS CloudTrail, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics for system monitoring.
  • Manage Active Directory Services, including DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
  • Provide support for cloud technologies, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions.
  • Work with PowerShell and troubleshoot PowerShell ISE.
  • Ensure proficiency with AWS Security services and federated identity systems.

Key Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Infrastructure engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud technologies and services.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Proficient in PowerShell and troubleshooting PowerShell Workflow.
  • Excellent understanding of AWS Security services and AWS Cloudwatch.
  • Knowledge of federated identity systems and multi-factor authentication.
  • Functional knowledge of AWS Network.

Rate: £325 per day inside IR35

Role Type: on contract (3 to 4 months + possible extension)
Location: Telford/Glasgow -Hybrid- Twice a week WFO

6+ years of experience as AWS Cloud Infrastructure engineer

Knowledge of cloud technologies (specifically AWS), including enterprise or hosting provider services SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Solutions.

Experience with PowerShell, PowerShell Workflow, and troubleshooting PowerShell ISE

Experience in AWS Cloud deployment and troubleshooting and experience in Windows and Linux system administration.

Background with Active Directory Services, including DNS, DHCP, and DFS.

Experience administering AWS Services: AWS Connect, AWS Lambda, AWS Databases, AWS S3, AWS Key Management Service, Direct Connect, EC2, VPC etc.

Proficient with AWS Security services and AWS Cloudwatch: Network, Application, Infrastructure.

Excellent knowledge of federated identity systems (Microsoft ADFS), multi-factor authentication and Microsoft AD Integration with Cloud Applications/Microsoft Azure Active Directory.

Functional knowledge of AWS Network.

Define and implement AWS cloud-based solution architectures

Ability to monitor & troubleshoot AWS cloud-based systems for availability, performance, reliability, security, etc., using tools like AWS Cloudwatch, AWS CLoudTrail, Dynatrace, AppDynamics etc.
