Summary: The AWS QA Engineer role focuses on testing cloud-native, serverless, and event-driven applications within a large-scale application modernization program. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute test strategies for AWS serverless applications
- Validate solutions built using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, DynamoDB, and Amazon S3
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for APIs, event-driven workflows, streaming data processing, and data persistence and validation
- Support application modernization initiatives through functional testing, regression testing, and system integration testing (SIT)
- Leverage AI-assisted testing tools (AWS Kiro preferred) for test case generation, test data creation, and automated validation and defect detection
- Execute performance, resilience, and security testing for serverless workloads
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
Key Skills:
- Strong QA Automation experience in cloud-native environments
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, EventBridge, Kinesis, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3
- Experience testing event-driven and serverless architectures
- API testing expertise using Postman or similar tools
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Jest, Java/Spring Boot, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of microservices and API-first architectures
- Experience with distributed systems testing and data validation
