Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain AWS-based cloud solutions with a focus on security best practices.
  • Provision infrastructure using Terraform and manage VMs with tools like Vagrant.
  • Automate processes using configuration management tools in a 24x7 AWS environment.
  • Utilize strong scripting skills for automation tasks.
  • Manage Jenkins pipelines using Groovy script.
  • Work with Docker containers and Amazon Linux 2023 AMI.
  • Implement system monitoring using tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Utilize Git, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow for incident and change management.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with AWS technologies (EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, EFS, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS).
  • Experience in DevOps delivery for Digital or Technology projects in government organizations.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Shell, Python, PowerShell, Perl, JAVA).

AWS Platform DevOps Engineer (SC & NPPV3) 6-month Contract Birmingham (Hybrid) £450-£500/day Outside IR35 We’re looking for a DevOps Platform Engineer with strong AWS experience for a contract role, ideally starting in August 2025. The position requires travel to Birmingham 2–3 days per week. Active SC clearance (that has been used within the last 12 months) and NPPV3 (that's been used within the last 6 months) are required for this role. Key Skills & Experience Good experience with AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, EFS, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) to develop and maintain an AWS-based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.
