Summary: The role is for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer on a 6-month contract, primarily working in a hybrid capacity with two days per month onsite in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Manchester, or Leeds. The position requires expertise in AWS and related technologies, with a focus on public sector experience. The role is classified as inside IR35 with a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Join a busy Public Sector client as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Utilize AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Manage version control with Git.
  • Automate processes using Ansible.
  • Write scripts in languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, or Go.
  • Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
  • Work within Agile frameworks.
  • Utilize Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Public Sector Experience.
  • Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer.
  • Expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
  • Proficiency in Terraform.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Knowledge of Ansible.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineers with a strong background of AWS to join a busy Public Sector client

Key Skills -

Must have Public Sector Experience

Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer

Expertise in AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment)

Terraform

Git

Ansible

Familiarity with Scripting languages including Bash, Perl, Python or Go.

Understanding of TDD (Test Driven Development)

Familiar with Agile ways of working.

Confluence

Strong communication skills
