Summary: Our customer in London is seeking an SC Cleared DevOps Engineer with live and transferable SC Clearance. The role requires extensive experience in AWS Cloud environments and Java application management, along with strong skills in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipeline optimization. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in networking and system administration, as well as exceptional communication abilities for stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining AWS Cloud environments for large-scale infrastructures.
- Utilizing a wide range of AWS services including Compute, Storage, Security, and Database products.
- Designing, developing, and managing Java applications.
- Automating cloud infrastructure deployments using IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as AWS CodePipeline and Jenkins.
- Architecting secure and highly available cloud solutions.
- Maintaining observability with monitoring and log analytics tools.
- Managing complex situations and guiding teams through incident resolution.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders through effective communication and presentations.

- Experience in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining AWS Cloud environments, with a focus on large-scale, mission-critical infrastructures.
- In-depth expertise in a wide range of AWS service offerings, including Compute, Management & Governance, Storage, Security, Identity & Compliance, Networking & Content Delivery, FinOps, Containers, and Database products.
- Extensive hands-on experience in the design, development, and management of Java applications
- Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK, with a proven track record of automating cloud infrastructure deployments.
- Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies and orchestration platforms like Docker and Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) or ECS.
- Expertise in defining, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, and others, applying best practices for pipeline efficiency and security.
- Strong background in networking, Linux or Windows administration, with the ability to architect secure, performant, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Proficiency with monitoring and log analytics tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Datadog, or New Relic, to maintain observability and ensure operational excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing complex, high-pressure situations and guiding teams through incident resolution.
