Summary: The role is for an AWS DevOps Engineer to work on a 6-month contract with an end client in Glasgow. The position requires deep expertise in AWS architecture and enterprise telephony, with a focus on leading technical teams and managing large-scale contact center environments. The engineer will work on-site two days a week and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical teams and coordinate with external vendors.
  • Implement and manage AWS architecture and enterprise telephony solutions.
  • Plan for high-availability and disaster recovery.
  • Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Skills:

  • Deep expertise in Amazon Connect and AWS architecture.
  • Strong understanding of voice network infrastructure and SIP routing.
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise telephony and cloud contact center platforms.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
  • Advanced ITIL certification or equivalent process knowledge.

I am working with an end client based in Glasgow who need a AWS engineer to join a 6 month contract.

Rate- £300 per day

Working - 2x a week in Glasgow office

IR35 - Outside

Duration - 6 months

Required Technical Skills- Deep expertise in Amazon Connect, AWS architecture, and enterprise telephony.

- Strong understanding of voice network infrastructure and SIP routing.

- Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery planning.

- Ability to lead technical teams and coordinate with external vendors.

- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

- Advanced ITIL certification or equivalent process knowledge.

Experience- 7+ years of experience in enterprise telephony and cloud contact center platforms.

- Proven track record in managing large-scale contact center environments.

Certifications- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
