Summary: The AWS DevOps Engineer role involves taking ownership of AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices within a data-driven organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation)
- Supporting and optimising CI/CD pipelines for Node.js services
- Enabling data-heavy workloads with scalable, resilient cloud architecture
- Managing containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
- Improving monitoring, logging, and alerting across data platforms
- Working closely with Node developers to streamline deployments and environments
- Embedding security, cost optimisation, and reliability best practices
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer in AWS environments
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred)
- Solid CI/CD and automation background
- Experience supporting Node.js applications in production
- Exposure to data-intensive or high-throughput systems
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a contract role

iO Associates is supporting a data-driven organisation that's looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join them during a key delivery phase. This is a hands-on contract role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with engineers building Node.js applications in a high-volume data environment .
The Role
You'll take ownership of AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices, supporting Node-based services that process and move large volumes of data. The focus is on automation, reliability, scalability, and enabling development teams to deliver quickly and safely.
What You'll Be Doing
