Summary: Our client is looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer for a freelance B2B contract lasting 6 months, with the possibility of extensions. The role requires a hybrid working arrangement, with 3 days on-site in Belfast and 2 days remote. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS and related DevOps practices. Key responsibilities include managing CI/CD pipelines and implementing GitOps principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and build CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Utilize containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Apply GitOps principles and tools, particularly ArgoCD.
- Collaborate with the team in a hybrid work environment.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer in AWS.
- Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI for CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitLab CI.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proven experience implementing GitOps principles and tools, with direct experience in ArgoCD.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- Knowledge of the build and deployment processes for .NET and React applications.
- Familiarity with security best practices (DevSecOps).
