Summary: The role of AWS DevOps Engineer involves supporting the High-Level Design and prototyping phase of a large-scale Cloud Migration initiative for a public sector technology programme. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD (GitOps approach) and Helm
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Support containerisation and migration of legacy batch workloads into Kubernetes environments
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to enhance build, deployment, and operational workflows
- Maintain version control systems, artifact registries, and pipeline integrations
- Ensure AWS environments align with best practices for security, scalability, and reliability
Key Skills:
- Proven DevOps engineering experience in cloud-first environments
- Hands-on expertise with: GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform, Kubernetes
