Summary: The AWS Cloud Solutions Architect role at JP Morgan in London involves developing the next generation internal cloud platform. The position requires collaboration across teams to enhance architecture platforms and support the adoption of strategic global solutions. The architect will also be responsible for governance frameworks, migration pathways, and ensuring alignment with corporate technology needs. This is a pivotal role that combines technical expertise with strategic influence in cloud technology adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and make decisions on improvements to current technologies.
- Serve as the function's go-to subject matter expert.
- Contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies.
- Partner with relevant teams to define governance frameworks for compliance and security, including PCI/SOX and HIPAA governance.
- Develop a model covering pathways and processes for applications to move into the new cloud platform (Atlas 2.0).
- Test and validate application groups and new features as they are released in Atlas 2.0. Build out adoption procedures, CT Engineering channel, and contribute to central learning and onboarding materials.
- Uplift Legion (our last mile deployment tool) to enable client deployments to Atlas 2.0, facilitate migration pathways, and collaborate with Application Owners and the central Cloud providers for execution.
- Ensure Atlas 2.0's architecture aligns with CT's needs and requirements. Take the lead in some cabinets and tiger groups.
- Partner with our developer experience team on the enablement of ATLAS 2.0 Cloud Lab.
Key Skills:
- Formal training or certification in AWS and data management concepts with years of applied experience.
- Extensive experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- Expertise in one or more programming languages.
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines.
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
