Summary: The AWS Cloud Platform Engineer role is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on managing and enhancing the analytical infrastructure for a public sector client. The position involves working across the tech stack, particularly in Back End, infrastructure, and orchestration, while mentoring junior team members. The role requires significant experience in AWS services and a strong coding background, particularly in Python. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with a majority of remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and improving the existing secure developer platform using open-source solutions and AWS services.
• Suggesting and implementing new features and solutions for the development platform.
• Reviewing and optimising the company AWS Organization and Accounts setup.
• Leading and mentoring junior team members.
• Leading the technology team in implementing cutting-edge technology strategies/solutions.

Key Skills:

• Significant experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar roles.
• Proven experience in delivering infrastructure projects as part of a team.
• Deep understanding of AWS services and architecture best practices.
• Strong coding skills in Python and other relevant languages.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including CloudFormation and CDK.
• Excellent communication skills for documentation and presentations.

Salary (Rate): £66,500
