Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Administrator to join our infrastructure and cloud operations team in Bedford, MA. The role requires deep expertise in AWS cloud administration, infrastructure automation, and enterprise-level support, with a focus on managing scalable AWS environments. The ideal candidate will support critical business applications and infrastructure operations while ensuring security and performance. Strong hands-on experience is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, administer, and support AWS cloud infrastructure environments
  • Manage and optimize AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Load Balancers
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security
  • Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives
  • Configure and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and application issues
  • Work closely with security, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure best practices
  • Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, operational procedures, and configurations
  • Participate in on-call support and production incident management when required

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience with at least 5+ years focused on AWS administration
  • Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services and cloud-native architectures
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPN, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows server administration
  • Knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance standards
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or ELK
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
