Summary: This role is for an Avionics Engineer who possesses a strong foundation in electrical engineering and a keen interest in advancing aviation and space technology. The position involves designing and developing avionics hardware and software systems, integrating them with various systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in avionics or embedded electronics design and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support certification efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop avionics hardware and software systems
- Integrate avionics systems with mechanical, software, and flight control systems
- Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of avionics components
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, schematics, and system diagrams
- Support certification efforts and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, ARINC, MIL-STD)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, flight software developers, and manufacturing
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in avionics or embedded electronics design
- Strong understanding of digital and analog electronics, signal processing, and real-time systems
- Familiarity with avionics communication protocols (e.g., CAN, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553)
- Experience with testing tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and simulation environments
- Experience in aerospace certification processes and safety standards (nice to have)
- Familiarity with flight data acquisition systems and telemetry (nice to have)
- Exposure to satellite or UAV avionics systems (nice to have)
- Experience with FMEA, fault tolerance, or redundancy design (nice to have)
