Overview
Atrium (EMEA) are supporting a large managed service provider looking for an experienced Avaloq Developer to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12 month contract.
You will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of Avaloq-based solutions, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high quality banking and wealth management functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Avaloq Core Platform customisations and parameterisations
- Implement and enhance banking products, processes, and workflows within Avaloq
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
- Develop and maintain Avaloq scripts, data feeds, interfaces, and reports
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and testers to ensure end to end delivery
- Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical documentation
- Support SIT/UAT, including defect analysis and resolution
- Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards
- Provide 3rd line support and production issue analysis where required
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven commercial experience as an Avaloq Developer (3+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Avaloq Core Platform, including:
- Avaloq Scripting and parameterisation
- Order management, payments, securities, and/or core banking modules
- Interfaces (eg Avaloq ICE, web services, APIs)
- Solid understanding of banking/wealth management processes and products
- Experience working in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Oracle or other relational databases
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
Desirable
- Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) or similar certification
- Experience with integration to downstream systems (eg reporting, risk, CRM)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (eg Git)
- Experience in UK or European banking/wealth management environments
