Overview

Atrium (EMEA) are supporting a large managed service provider looking for an experienced Avaloq Developer to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12 month contract.

You will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of Avaloq-based solutions, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high quality banking and wealth management functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Avaloq Core Platform customisations and parameterisations
  • Implement and enhance banking products, processes, and workflows within Avaloq
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain Avaloq scripts, data feeds, interfaces, and reports
  • Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and testers to ensure end to end delivery
  • Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical documentation
  • Support SIT/UAT, including defect analysis and resolution
  • Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards
  • Provide 3rd line support and production issue analysis where required

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven commercial experience as an Avaloq Developer (3+ years preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Avaloq Core Platform, including:
  • Avaloq Scripting and parameterisation
  • Order management, payments, securities, and/or core banking modules
  • Interfaces (eg Avaloq ICE, web services, APIs)
  • Solid understanding of banking/wealth management processes and products
  • Experience working in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Oracle or other relational databases
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams

Desirable

  • Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) or similar certification
  • Experience with integration to downstream systems (eg reporting, risk, CRM)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (eg Git)
  • Experience in UK or European banking/wealth management environments
