Summary: The AV Project Manager role in Sheffield involves leading the delivery of advanced Audio Visual systems for a nationwide customer base. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, focusing primarily on new builds or major refurbishments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend handover meetings from the Commercial team and take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Work closely with clients, main contractors, and consultants to establish project timelines and milestones.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering Management team to ensure appropriate labor resources are available.
  • Collaborate with stock and Procurement teams to ensure timely material purchases.
  • Progress all project dependencies and attend site for kick-off meetings and inspections.
  • Ensure quality of handover and training, while motivating and supporting Installation teams.
  • Track costs, variations, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of financial performance, quality, and client relationships.
  • Report project progress back to the business.

Key Skills:

  • Proven Project Manager with strong AV experience.
  • Understanding of AV equipment including Digital Video, Projection Systems, Control Systems, DSP's, Audio Systems, Large format displays, DMX Lighting, and BMS integration.
  • Familiarity with AV industry standards and certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) is a plus.
  • Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Visio, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Salesforce experience is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to drive progress.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and project challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving license.

Your new role

As an AV Project Manager, you'll lead the delivery of best-in-class Audio Visual systems to our nationwide network of customers. You'll collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role with primarily focus on new build or major refurbishment projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AV technologies and a proven track record in AV Project Management, with a passion for delivering innovative AV solutions. This role requires close collaboration with our Engineering, Support and Design teams, as well as with 3 party stakeholder to support our delivery of best-in-class solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Attend handover meetings from our Commercial team where you will then take ownership for those assigned projects
  • Work closely with clients, main contractors & consultants to agree clear project timelines and milestones
  • Work with our Engineering Management team to ensure the appropriate labour resource is available.
  • Work with our stock and Procurement teams to ensure materials are purchased promptly, to support on time delivery, with a view to avoiding excess or extended stockholding.
  • Continually progress all dependencies for the projects assigned to you
  • Attend site for kick off meetings with Installation team, and regular onsite progress inspections
  • Take full responsibility for the quality of handover, training
  • Motivate, and support all Installation teams, and resolve issues and challenges
  • Track costs, variations and changes throughout the project
  • Take full ownership for financial performance, as well as quality and client relationship throughout
  • Report project progress back to the business

Experience needed

You will need be to be a proven Project Manager with strong AV experience

A good understanding of relevant AV equipment to include Digital Video, Projection Systems, Control Systems, DSP's, Audio Systems, Large format displays, DMX Lighting and BMS integration

Familiarity with AV industry standards such as AVIXA (InfoComm) and certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) is a plus

Experience working with design software (AutoCAD, Visio, etc.) is a plus

Salesforce experience will get you up and running quickly!

Strong communication skills at all levels and an ability to drive progress

Proven experience with managing budgets, project challenges and delay / change issues on site.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Excellent organisational skills and an attention to detail

Full UK driving license
