Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of reactive equipment breakdowns, diagnose and rectify faults, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Work as part of the facilities & maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient production performance within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environment framework.
  • Perform detailed preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with schedules.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role with an automotive engine/vehicle test background.
  • Good standard of practical electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Ability to find root causes of failures in reactive maintenance scenarios and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Willingness to undertake projects/continuous improvement works in line with business requirements.
  • Able to record data and analyze trends in faults and failures.
  • Able to work in a team and unsupervised.
  • Able to work a rotational shift pattern.

Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:Automotive Test Engineer - £27.21/hr (Inside IR35 - Warwick - 9 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Duties:

In this multi-skilled role, you will have a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled, dynamic facilities & maintenance team based at the Advanced Propulsion Research laboratory (APRL) at University of Warwick. You'll deliver excellence by providing engineering maintenance support to Engine and Vehicle test assets and equipment. Our test technologies include dynamometers, HVAC systems, fluid & gas conditioning and supply systems, safety critical monitoring systems and power distribution.

Through our purpose, vision, strategy and transformation, you will show your maintenance skills, behaviours, and competencies in all you do contributing to supporting the facility generate data for our customer groups.
