Summary: The role of Freelance Auto Refinisher & Ngenco Installer Trainer involves delivering hands-on training and technical support for spray-applied Paint Protection Film (PPF) to new customers both in the UK and internationally. The position requires a highly skilled individual with proven experience in automotive refinishing who can maintain high standards and effectively coach others. This is a freelance, assignment-based role with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality control. The trainer will represent Ngenco Limited, ensuring consistent results aligned with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured installer training at Ngenco Bromsgrove and at customer premises (UK & overseas).
- Train customers on surface preparation, masking discipline, booth best practices, spray technique, workflow timing, quality control, finishing, defect prevention, and troubleshooting.
- Support customers through first installs to ensure correct method adoption and confidence.
- Maintain Ngenco standards and professional conduct while representing the brand on-site.
- Complete a short training record/sign-off after each assignment (attendance, summary, actions, recommendation).
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in automotive refinishing/spray painting (bodyshop or equivalent).
- Excellent preparation, discipline, and high finish standards (premium work, not volume).
- Confident communicator able to demonstrate, coach and correct technique professionally.
- Reliable, organised and capable of working independently on customer sites.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally; passport suitable for travel.
- Experience delivering training/mentoring (formal or informal) is desirable.
- Familiarity with protection systems (PPF/coatings/peelable technologies) is a plus.
- IMI/ATA/City & Guilds (or time-served equivalent) qualifications are preferred.

The Role
We are appointing a highly skilled freelance Auto Refinisher who will also act as a Ngenco Installer Trainer. After completing Ngenco’s internal product and process training, you will deliver hands-on installer training and on-site technical support to new Ngenco customers in the UK and abroad, ensuring consistent, repeatable results to Ngenco standards. This is a practical, customer-facing role for someone who can set a premium benchmark in the booth and coach others to replicate it.

Complete a short training record/sign-off after each assignment (attendance, summary, actions, recommendation).
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in automotive refinishing/spray painting (bodyshop or equivalent). Excellent preparation, discipline, and high finish standards (premium work, not volume). Confident communicator able to demonstrate, coach and correct technique professionally. Reliable, organised and capable of working independently on customer sites. Full UK driving licence (essential). Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally; passport suitable for travel.

Experience delivering training/mentoring (formal or informal). Familiarity with protection systems (PPF/coatings/peelable technologies) — full Ngenco system training provided. IMI/ATA/City & Guilds (or time-served equivalent).
Availability / Engagement Model
This is not a fixed 5-day/40-hour-per-week contract. This is a freelance, assignment-based role, with training days booked as and when required in line with the onboarding of new Ngenco customers / new business. Training dates and travel requirements will be scheduled in advance where possible, subject to customer readiness and onboarding timelines.
Contract Terms (Summary)
Rate: £500 per day
Payment: 50% on booking confirmation + 50% on successful completion of customer training (Ngenco/customer sign-off)
Travel & accommodation: Booked and paid directly by Ngenco (UK & international)
Equipment & materials: Supplied by Ngenco
Engagement: Freelance contractor (non-employed); NDA/confidentiality applies
Engagement model: Assignment-based freelance role (not a guaranteed 5-day / 40-hour week); bookings made in line with new customer onboarding and business demand.
