Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fluid lines installations for hydraulic oil, engine coolant, and air conditioning refrigerant.
- Route hose and tube assemblies, select adapters, and define mounting arrangements.
- Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to deliver new designs into series production.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, product development, supply chain, and manufacturing to manage design changes.
- Communicate design status to stakeholders through presentations and detailed reports.
Key Skills:
- Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, aerospace, or similar industries.
- Ability to route design hydraulic fluid lines.
- Extensive knowledge of 3D CAD geometry.
- Experience with engineering changes through data management systems.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and knowledge of Teamcenter is desirable.

PE Global is recruiting a Fluid Lines Designer for our multinational manufacturing client based in Desford. The role is an initial 6-month contract and the role is fully onsite in Desford. The rate for this role is £24.92 PAYE or £34.14 Umbrella p/hour.
Responsibilities:
- The design and development of fluid lines installations for hydraulic oil, engine coolant and air conditioning refrigerant which are validated to meet functional and technical requirements.
- This will include the routing of hose and tube assemblies, selection of adapters and definition of mounting arrangements.
- Working across multiple projects and collaborating with global teams and suppliers to deliver new designs into series production which meet quality, velocity and cost targets.
- Coordinating with sales and marketing, product development groups, supply chain and manufacturing to manage design changes through the engineering life cycle.
- Communicating design status to stakeholders and participating functional areas through presentations and detailed reports.
Requirements:
- Experience working in either heavy equipment, automotive, aerospace or similar industries would be highly advantageous.
- Must be able to route design hydraulic fluid lines
- Extensive knowledge of 3D CAD geometry
- Be able to complete engineering changes through data management systems
- 3D CAD (Creo preferred) but others considered.
- Teamcenter knowledge is desirable
