Summary: The Automation Tester role focuses on enhancing the IT landscape through automation testing using Selenium and .Net. The position is based in Farnborough, UK, and offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring attendance at the office two days a week. This is a temporary contract expected to last over six months, starting as soon as possible. The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience in automation testing and relevant technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply knowledge in test automation to make a significant contribution to the modernisation of the IT landscape
- Design and build test scenarios using requirements and acceptance criteria
- Create and maintain automated tests using Customer Group toolset
- Record detailed test results and collaborate with agile team members as solutions are developed
- Report defects and track defects to closure, escalating as appropriate
- Perform all aspects of test verification, including environment management, functional and regression testing
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in test automation
- Experience in test-driven development, testing frameworks
- Experience coding in one or more languages (specifically Python, .NET and C#)
- Experience of testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, REST Assured
- Experience in test automation of RESTFul Services (Inc. Swagger), SOAP Services, web user interfaces
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration (Jenkins) & Source control, BitBucket
- Demonstrable experience in IT with an in-depth track record in test execution, demonstrating the abilities required to be able to execute test cases, accurately document and report test results and defects to the established standards
- Experience of working within an agile environment and familiarity with agile tools (JIRA/Confluence) and processes
- Proven ability to engage with a variety of IT teams and suppliers to achieve timely and successful outcomes
- Proven ability to embrace and adapt to change
- Exposure to the Financial Services industry and mission-critical systems
- Oracle SQL experience
- Windows client and server-based applications
- Have initiative to identify and provide solutions in a team environment
- Ability to work in a strong team and communicate and share ideas with Developers and Analysts
- Knowledge of contract management systems or similar customer-level servicing and transactional accounting systems
- Knowledge and experience of the Automotive Finance industry

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced Automation Tester to be based at their client's office in Farnborough, UK.
This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Farnborough office 2 days per week .
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP
