Summary: The Automation Test Analyst role at Morgan Hunt involves leading automation initiatives to enhance testing quality and efficiency for critical applications within a public sector client. The position requires designing and implementing test automation frameworks while mentoring junior testers and providing technical leadership. The analyst will work with various automation tools and programming languages to establish testing standards and manage testing activities. SC Clearance is required for this 6-month hybrid contract role based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead automation initiatives, shaping the design, support, and maintenance of the automation framework while mentoring junior testers.
• Assess web and desktop applications and provide technical leadership to establish automation capabilities at an organisational level.
• Define and implement functional and non-functional testing standards, integrating them into the software test cycle and automation solutions.
• Work with a range of open-source and commercial test automation tools such as QTP/UFT, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and TestComplete.
• Conduct integration and system testing, as well as manage user acceptance and release testing.
• Provide regular progress reports on testing activities.

Key Skills:

• Expertise in test automation tools for Windows and web-based applications.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript for developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Experience in designing and implementing test automation strategies aligned with application architecture.
• Proven success in automation testing projects, ideally within a similar industry or domain.
