Summary: Our leading Financial Services client is seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join their technology team in a hybrid working arrangement. The role focuses on designing and maintaining automated test frameworks for web and API-based applications, contributing to quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle. The position is initially for a 6-month contract with an ASAP start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
- Collaborate with developers to embed quality and testability from the outset.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to testing best practices.
- Identify, record, and track bugs through to resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyse test results and provide actionable insights.
- Support performance, load, and security testing efforts as needed.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in automation testing.
- Proficiency in Java fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with framework development and maintenance.
- Experience with tools such as Selenium, UiPath, Cypress, JUnit.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with RESTful API testing (eg, Postman, REST Assured).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (eg, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of BDD/TDD practices and tools (eg, Cucumber, Gauge, PactFlow).
