Automation Tester

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a Tier 1 global bank to hire a Quality Engineer (Automation) who will play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable Back End systems across a modern, event-driven technology landscape.

This is an excellent opportunity for an automation-focused QA/QE professional with experience testing APIs and event-based architectures to join a high-performing engineering team working on business-critical platforms. You'll be involved in building robust automation frameworks, validating complex event flows, and driving quality across the software development life cycle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for Back End applications and services
• Build and execute automated tests for APIs, microservices, and event-driven workflows
• Validate Kafka-based messaging systems and event streams
• Develop high-quality test automation solutions in Java or Kotlin
• Use Testcontainers to create isolated and repeatable testing environments
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Work closely with Software Engineers, Product teams, and fellow Quality Engineers to embed quality throughout development
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices, tooling, and automation strategy

• 2+ years' experience in Quality Engineering, Software Test Automation, or a similar role
• Strong experience designing and developing API automation tests
• Hands-on experience working with Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Ability to write and maintain automated test code using Java or Kotlin
• experience with Testcontainers
• Good understanding of software testing principles and automation best practices
• experience working within Agile delivery environments

• experience with CI/CD tooling and automated test integration
• Exposure to microservices-based architectures
• experience within financial services, banking, or other highly regulated environments
