Summary: We are seeking an Automation Test Specialist to join our core build delivery team, focusing on designing and maintaining automated test frameworks for SAS Viya 4 applications. The role requires collaboration within an Agile environment and strong stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will implement automation strategies and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines. This position is based in Telford, requiring two days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and reporting.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and Business Analysts to ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements and technical specifications.
- Implement and utilise appropriate automation tooling to meet business and technical needs.
- Design and implement automation test strategies and plans for SAS Viya 4 applications, including UI based Visual Analytics (VA) and Intelligent Decisioning (ID).
- Develop and maintain test scripts using automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, JUnit) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Confirm the test data strategy to be used.
- Maintain and evolve the test automation suite for regression, performance, and integration testing.
- Support the integration of test automation into Git-based CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test environments, including SAS Viya containerized deployments (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes).
- Contribute to test data management and environment provisioning strategies.
Key Skills:
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, and JUnit.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of SAS Viya 4 platform and its applications.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues in containerized environments.
- Understanding of test data management strategies.
