Summary: The Automation Test Lead will play a pivotal role in a financial services company's tech transformation by designing and implementing a comprehensive test automation suite. The successful candidate will lead the testing strategy, select appropriate tools, and ensure quality across modern systems. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and hands-on delivery in a newly created technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and own scalable test automation frameworks.
• Lead tool selection and test strategy definition.
• Automate tests for APIs, backend services, and data pipelines.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with developers and DevOps teams.
• Conduct performance, security, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and uphold QA best practices.
• Ensure quality and readiness of a full operational system rebuild.
• Define and deliver a robust automation framework.
• Collaborate on testing with internal teams and 3rd parties.
• Support go-live readiness, including data migration validation.
• Help recruit and onboard a permanent Test Engineer.

Key Skills:

• Test Automation expertise, especially in API and integration testing.
• Hands-on delivery in cloud-based or SaaS environments.
• Deep knowledge of data validation and modern testing tools.
• Ability to lead testing strategy and drive quality end-to-end.
• Experience with automated API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, Jmeter.
• Experience with automated web testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, BrowserStack.
• Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation tools like Nintex RPA.
