Summary: The Automation Test Lead role involves leading testing efforts for a global IT services supplier, primarily focusing on both automation and manual testing. The position is hybrid, requiring attendance at the Liverpool office once a week, and is a temporary contract lasting over six months. The ideal candidate will possess strong testing skills, adaptability, and the ability to mentor junior testers while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Key Skills:

  • Automation: Hands-on expertise in any Test Automation tool preferably in Ranorex with C#. Must have a solid understanding of OOPs concepts and building/maintaining automation frameworks.
  • BDD: Practical experience implementing BDD practices (SpecFlow/Gherkin).
  • Manual Testing: Mastery of functional, regression, and exploratory testing techniques.
  • Tooling: Regular, proficient use of Jira for defect management and Git for version control.
  • Domain: Prior experience with Wealth management systems is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years in a lead or senior QA role.

Automation Test Lead

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Automation Test Lead to be based at their client's office in Liverpool/Glassgow, UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Liverpool/Glassgow office 1 day per week .

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Senior Tester with proven experience who can be proactively deployed and interchanged across projects. You will operate with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong ownership & initiative over the quality life cycle.

The successful candidate must be a "hybrid" expert, capable of shifting between high-level Test Automation and deep-dive manual testing - (functional, regression, exploratory) based on immediate delivery needs. You will be expected to master application flows quickly and lead testing efforts independently.

Senior tester is expected to quickly understand application flows, independently identify testing risks, guide execution priorities, and flex between automation and manual activities based on delivery needs. Prior experience working on investment systems is strongly preferred. Upskilling period of 15 days to 1 month will be provided for domain and environment onboarding.
