Summary: The QA Tester role at AmpsTek involves testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile application testing. The position emphasizes manual testing, knowledge of automation tools, and collaboration within an Agile environment. The successful candidate will design test scenarios, execute tests, and ensure app stability and usability while adhering to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Develop test scenarios based on requirements to ensure maximum test coverage.
  • Develop execute and maintain test cases using BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) Principles with Gherkin syntax (Given-When-Then) for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Perform functional, regression, UI/UX and exploratory testing to ensure app stability and usability.
  • Identify, document and track defects to closure using test management tool JIRA.
  • Conduct cross-device and cross platform testing in mobile devices and Browser Stack to ensure compatibility.
  • Validate API responses and backend integration where applicable.
  • Develop and manage test stubs to simulate different scenarios, including errors, for effective testing of system behaviour.
  • Actively contribute to our test automation maintenance using Appium (with JAVA).
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product owners to ensure seamless app performance.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand ups and retrospectives.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and compliance standards.

  • Minimum 3, ideally 5+ years of experience in mobile application testing.
  • Strong understanding of iOS and Android applications.
  • Experience in manual testing and an understanding of test automation concepts.
