Summary: The Automation Systems Programmer role focuses on migrating and customizing automation systems, specifically transitioning from Broadcom’s CA OPS/MVS Event Management to IBM Z System Automation. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and customize IBM NetView and z System Automation (zSA)
- Lead the migration from Broadcom’s CA OPS/MVS Event Management and Automation
- Develop automation using REXX, message automation, and subsystem management
- Define and manage critical system components, including CICS regions, IMS systems, and DB2
- Utilise or develop expertise in Ops/MVS for automation breakdown and migration
- Work independently with self-motivation, ensuring a seamless transition and optimization of automation systems
Key Skills:
- Strong grounding in z/OS system administration and automation
- Experience in installing and configuring NetView and zSA
- Proficiency in REXX programming and message automation
- Expertise in managing subsystems (CICS, IMS, DB2, etc.)
