Summary: The Automation Specialist (Document Parsing) role is a 3-month contract position focused on developing and maintaining automation solutions for converting unstructured documents into usable data. The specialist will utilize technologies such as UiPath and Low-Code platforms to automate document workflows and collaborate with various stakeholders. Key responsibilities include building document understanding solutions and integrating parsing solutions with downstream systems. The position requires hands-on experience in RPA and document parsing technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation workflows for document ingestion and parsing using RPA platforms like UiPath or equivalent.
- Build document understanding solutions using OCR, AI-based extraction, and classification techniques.
- Integrate parsing solutions with downstream systems via APIs, databases, or iPaaS tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define parsing rules, test accuracy, and fine-tune extraction logic.
- Use Low-Code tools to design user interfaces or workflows that support end-to-end document handling.
- Monitor and maintain document processing solutions, ensuring high accuracy and low error rates.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance parsing strategies using machine learning or pre-trained models.
Key Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in RPA, BPM, Low-Code, or iPaaS technologies (UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, Appian, Mendix, Boomi, etc.).
- Strong experience working with document parsing, OCR tools (e.g., ABBYY, UiPath Document Understanding, Tesseract), and AI-based data extraction.
- Experience integrating with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in building robust automation workflows with exception handling and logging.
- Familiarity with XML, JSON, and document schema standards.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with machine learning-based document classification or extraction models (preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and their AI/ML services (preferred).
- Basic understanding of scripting (e.g., Python, VB.NET) for custom automation logic (preferred).
