Summary: Our client is looking for an Automation QA Engineer for a freelance B2B contract lasting 6 months, with the possibility of extensions. The role requires a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days on-site in Belfast and 2 days remote. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automation testing and experience with various testing frameworks and tools. Proficiency in English is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct automation testing using BDD frameworks like SpecFlow and/or Cucumber.
- Utilize modern UI automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
- Test APIs (REST/GraphQL) and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure quality assurance processes are followed.
- Provide insights on non-functional testing, including performance and load testing.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks (SpecFlow, Cucumber).
- Strong knowledge of UI automation tools (Playwright, Selenium).
- Experience in API testing (REST/GraphQL).
- Basic programming/scripting skills, preferably in C#.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Desirable: Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and financial services or FinTech.
