Summary: The Automation Engineer (Platform Support) role focuses on innovating and streamlining infrastructure operations through automation, specifically using Terraform and Ansible. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Terraform and Ansible Automation Platform environments, including handling incoming requests (approx. 10-20% operational).
- Drive automation initiatives that integrate Terraform and Ansible for streamlined infrastructure deployment and management.
- Partner with infrastructure and application teams to identify manual processes suitable for automation.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement new IaC solutions and continuous improvement practices.
- Participate in upcoming projects to upgrade Ansible on-prem and deploy Ansible into AWS and Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Document designs, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Support a "show and tell" culture by presenting automation solutions and demonstrating improvements to other teams.
- Contribute to the organization’s cloud transformation by helping migrate legacy on-prem infrastructure to the cloud.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with Terraform (preferably Terraform Cloud) and Ansible Automation Platform.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and DevOps methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.

? Familiarity with IDP platforms such as Harness or Backstage.
? Proven history of innovation ? taking manual processes and scripting or automating them for efficiency.
