Summary: The Automation Engineer role is based in Northampton and requires a highly skilled individual to join an elite engineering team focused on advanced technologies. The position involves programming in Beckhoff TwinCAT and KUKA Robotics, with a strong emphasis on automation and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree and have experience in designing and validating automation software. This role is critical in supporting the transition to the 2026 F1 Power Unit regulation changes, although it does not involve F1 directly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming in Beckhoff TwinCAT and KUKA Robotics.
- Designing, developing, and validating automation software from scratch.
- Commissioning production machines and working with manufacturing processes.
- Collaborating with team members in a fast-paced R&D/manufacturing environment.
- Contributing to projects related to internal combustion engines, electric machines, and batteries.
Key Skills:

- Strong background in automation and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in production machine commissioning.
- BEng or higher in a relevant field.
