Summary: The Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the specification, delivery, installation, and verification of vendor-supplied equipment within a project execution team. This role involves supporting automation installations and verifications for multiple packaging lines, requiring familiarity with process control systems and experience in client representation during vendor FAT/SAT execution. The engineer will act as a subject matter expert and manage verification testing for system validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure systems are installed and verified meeting company requirements.
- FAT/SAT execution as client representative.
- Integration to company networks, AD, OSI PI, Automated data archive system.
- Participate in the development of automated system life cycle documents (ERES, Preventative Maintenance Instructions, SOPs).
- Provide system support in the areas of PM’s, engineering spares, Data Integrity.
- Resolve issues by engaging with Global IT support teams.
- Any other activities as directed by the Project Lead.
Key Skills:
- Experience with vendor-supplied equipment such as Coaters, Tablet presses, Blenders, Roller Compactors.
- Familiarity with equipment process control systems (Siemens TIA, Schneider PLC).
- Knowledge of system integration with Active Directory and automated backup systems.
- Experience as client representative during vendor FAT/SAT execution.
- Ability to manage and execute verification testing for system validation.

We’re recruiting for an experienced Automation Engineer to work on an initial 12 month contract in Newbridge.
JOB SUMMARY
As an Automation Engineer working as part of the project execution team, your primary function will be to ensure that vendor supplied (off the shelf) equipment such as Coaters, Tablet presses, Blenders, Roller Compactors etc. are specified, delivered, installed and verified to meet with site requirements. You will also support the automation installation and verification of multiple packaging lines. Familiarity with equipment process control systems is required (such as Siemens TIA and Schneider PLC) and knowledge of system integration with Active Directory and automated backup systems would be an advantage. Experience as client representative during vendor FAT/SAT execution as part of the project team would be preferential. You will support the project team as the automation subject matter expert and manage and execute verification testing to for system validation.
