Summary: The Automation Engineer role is a 12-month contract position based in Hamburg, focusing on designing, programming, and testing automation systems for the pharmaceutical and environmental sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, programming, and testing automation systems using industry-standard tools, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements.
- Develop automation functions and support their integration into existing systems.
- Facilitate project coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication and efficient project progress.
- Maintain and support automation systems post-implementation, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Oversee subsystem integrations, ensuring seamless operation across all components.
- Lead commissioning activities and drive optimisation of automation solutions.
Key Skills:
- Hold a degree or recognised qualification as a state-certified technician, electrical engineer, or similar.
- Demonstrate at least three years' hands-on experience in automation system design, programming, and maintenance.
- Proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal / PCS7.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, with a good command of English.
- Strong customer service ethos and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Previous experience in automation projects.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance related to automation.
- Experience with HMI development and control system integration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and communicate complex technical information clearly.
