Summary: The Senior Automation Engineer role involves supporting the delivery of DeltaV workstreams at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the UK. The position requires collaboration with systems integrators and engineering vendors to ensure project deliverables meet requirements, while also maintaining communication with senior stakeholders. This contract role offers the opportunity to work on significant upgrade and greenfield projects within a global pharmaceutical organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DeltaV systems and automation project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the DCS system (Emerson DeltaV) and ensure compliance with S88 standards.
- Take multiple DCS systems from design to commissioning and qualification on site.
- Lead all downstream equipment scope of the project to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with systems integrators and engineering vendors.
- Liaise with senior stakeholders for clear communication.
Key Skills:
- Five years plus DeltaV design, configuration, and testing experience.
- GAMP 5 experience.
- Experience leading small to medium automation teams.
- Proven track record of leading DeltaV projects from design to completion.
- Strong background in Automation (complete life cycle).
- Experience with DeltaV, PLCs, HMIs, and OSI PI.
- Certified completion of DeltaV DCS training.
