Summary: The Automation Engineer will be integral to a large-scale network automation programme, transitioning solutions from proof-of-concept to production within a complex, multi-vendor environment. This hands-on role emphasizes building reliable and scalable automation to enhance consistency and support live infrastructure changes. Key Responsibilities:
- Productionise network automation (software lifecycle & config management)
- Build validation, rollback, and remediation workflows
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation
- Implement automated testing (pytest, Robot, pyATS, etc.)
- Collaborate in Agile teams and contribute to best practices
Key Skills:
- Strong Ansible and Python automation skills
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and testing frameworks
- Solid networking background (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, F5)
- Proven experience delivering automation into production
- 5+ years networking, 3+ years automation
