Summary: The Automation Engineer role involves working on an exclusive implementation and deployment project for a top global client in the UK. The position requires onsite presence in Peterborough and mandates experience with Rockwell Factory Talk, Rockwell Automation, and/or Siemens PLCs and SCADA. The contract is for 6+ months with potential extensions. The engineer will focus on enhancing manufacturing efficiency, quality, and compliance through automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business management and end users to design value added functionality/capabilities to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality and compliance.
- Ensure that existing and developed solutions are meeting company standards and processes.
- Look after automation systems access process.
- Implement and deploy automation solution updates.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with Rockwell Factory Talk, Rockwell Automation and/or Siemens PLCs.
- Ability to dive into pre-existing/operational code to determine its functionality.
- Understands automation software development lifecycle and solution support methodologies.
- Experience in Installation and Commissioning, System platform Migrations, Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of SQL and Industrial Communication Protocols.
