Summary: The Automation Developer / RPA Developer role at a growing financial services organization focuses on delivering practical automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering end-to-end automation projects, including requirements, design, development, testing and deployment
- Building and maintaining UiPath RPA solutions
- Developing smart forms and dynamic form solutions to capture structured data and support automation workflows
- Participating in code reviews, technical discussions and solution design sessions
- Applying best practice around security, error handling, resilience and scalability
- Supporting and maintaining existing automation solutions
- Working with REST APIs, JSON handling and authentication methods
- Contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
- Supporting technical backlog prioritisation to ensure timely delivery
- Working in an Agile environment, including pair programming and continuous improvement practices
- Using delivery and performance insights, including DORA-style metrics, to improve engineering outcomes
- Providing training and support to end users
- Keeping up to date with developments in RPA, automation technologies and best practice
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with UiPath

A growing financial services organisation is looking for an Automation Developer / RPA Developer to join its Efficiency and Automation team. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering practical automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and create capacity across the business. The team works on small, frequent, high-impact improvements, using automation to remove repetitive administrative tasks and help colleagues spend more time on value-adding work. You will be involved across the full automation lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to development, testing, deployment, support and continuous improvement.
The role
